This longsleeve Lateralus shirt was one of the last, if not the last, of the Cam de Leon prints (mid-2000s Ænima-themed shirts aside) before Tool transitioned to Alex Grey as their artist. This piece, titled 'Secret', was bought at their 2002 Inside The Outside tour (the last in stock at the Lowell, MA show), before being released as a regular piece of merchandise to the public. Store bought versions would use a more blue-heavy turquoise ink, and would not feature the Tool logo on the sleeve, but only the word Lateralus (nor any of the tour text, obviously). Strangely, Cam's signature, seen in the lower left of the rear print here, is also absent from retail versions. This, as well as several Tool prints of the era, was printed on a generic M&O shirt, as their contract with Giant Merchandising had expired the year prior.
Yeah, even the version they sold in stores (which was basically the same, minus some text) wasn't out for a super long time! Thanks for the view, friend!
Anytime mate! Good to see someone else crazy about subtle shirt variations! Makes collecting so addictive..
And Tool. One of the great bands of my life. Seen every tour here since 95 \m/
That is seriously cool, there's something about early/mid-'90s Tool sound I've been enamored with since the first time I heard it. Did you see them in late D'Amour era or very early Chancellor?
Pretty sure it was late D'Amour times. Somewhere between March-June 95. Was a winter festival here in Oz. They were still touring Undertow.. Minblowing experience!

Thank you for the flamage! Yeah I love finding little nuance differences between old prints like this, and Tool and Type O had no shortage of them!
