This piece of early Tool merchandise features a circa '92 press photo which was used widely at the time, including on 8x10s from Zoo and in local magazines. It may be one of, if not the only mass-produced shirts baring the band's image, until the individual "Caricature" shirts of the 10,000 Days era. While it predates the anti-image stance for which Tool would soon be known, it appeared in Rockabilia catalogs into 1994. The shirt bares a Murina tag, a brand on which many would-be Giant Merchandise artists would have their shirts printed (most notably Korn) prior to licensing. Close inspection of the front and back logos reveals jagged, inconsistent edges indicating that portion of the print was likely taken from a hand-drawn scan. Cool, huh?
Dude, right? It could easily get misconstrued for one especially with how well-known they are for being reclusive nowadays. That's exactly why I included the catalog image. Thanks for the flameage!

Sweet shirt dude. Design wise, it's quote a far cry from the other shirts they've sold. Really neat!

Thanks, man! It's definitely a unique piece from before they got their footing, so to speak.

My man, thanks for the fire. Yeah, I've seen a few Wrenches on Ebay in drastically varying condition. Have you seen the green one that's listed??

Yeah. I was wondering if it was a boot because I've never seen it before. Makes me think about how much merch exist that no one knows about......
