While this one-off Helmet print doesn't correlate with any particular album artwork or theme, what is known is that its production spanned multiple album cycles throughout the 1990s. Both the front logo and rear image are courtesy of billboard artist Jim "TAZ" Evans, with this HELMET logo being used on one of the group's own show flyers, and the rear image first appearing in an early form on a 1992 Sonic Youth concert promo. The shirt's earliest prints, circa 1992-93 Meantime-era, retained their original garment tags (most commonly Fruit Of The Loom), and used a more pale, yellow-heavy ink for the girl. Later versions issued under Nice Man would employ a 1996 copyright and corresponding tag in the collar. The shirt appeared in Rockabilia catalogs into the later '90s Aftertaste era, and can be seen in the movie Joe's Apartment, albeit worn backwards so the rear image appears in the front.
