EYEHATEGOD 1989 Green Children of God Short Sleeve T-Shirt

One of the earliest Green Children of God short sleeve t-shirts made, if not the first... ©️ 1989, Single Stitch, Cotton/Poly blend, late 80s 50/50 Screen Stars tag. Acquired from the original owner who lived in Nola from 1987 to 1995. He said when he bought it in 1989, the band was still fairly new and their first album was recorded but not quite out yet. He said he'd never seen the shirt design before the time he got the shirt, and he regularly attended numerous local shows with EHG on the bill when he lived in the area. This shirt is from before they had the longsleeve version with the sleeve prints that say "Eyehategod" in a more basic text on one sleeve & "Peace Through Addiction" with a Woman's Face on the other. Apparently the band's record label took charge of the longsleeve version. The front and back prints were created by the band as usual, but their label decided to make longsleeve versions. So, the sleeve prints were actually created by Century Media in 1991/1992, or roundabouts when "In the Name of Suffering" was reissued on Century Media in 1992. And that's what I was told is the story with this shirt and the longsleeves. In 1998 the band adopted the sleeve prints themselves but made a different version of the "Peace Through Addiction" Face by using a distorted photo of one of the band members. Eventually they went back to the Woman's Face version, and from 2021 to now, that has been what they use... Random shit you didn't care to know, right??

This is part of my permanent collection and regular wardrobe, so I will never sell this, nor will I trade this. Unless you have a first edition EHG shirt I'd rather have instead, but I don't think that's gonna happen.
