Carcass Remix of Björk / Debut LS onesided handpainted by me 1993
Sat, 23/04/2022 - 11:14Uploaded this only (for a short time) to get some information on the Remix Carcass did for Björk's song "Isobel" (1995 "Post" Album). In fact I think the remix is much too tame. They should have let go a bit and include a short blastbeat at least, as they should have known that one would get some attention! Booooring 🥱
Did Carcass choose the song or were they just approached for this certain song?
Was the decision to have them remix Björk's or just from labels side?
Do Carcass like Björk's music?
Does Björk like/ listen Carcass music?
Did they meet one time?
Regarding the Longsleeve:
Handpainted it after Debut as I was a big fan from sugarcubes times on already! Didn't get the merch...so I did it myself. There was no template I could copy, so I cut out the letters and played a bit with them to find a way how to get the logo vertical for a sleevedesign...turned out nicely I think!

NICE WORK! You hand painted this but it looks like a legitimate screen printed version of a Bjork longsleeve... I've seen my share of hand-painted garments, but I have never seen anything done so precisely, with perfectly straight lines and edges, and any points or corners of the logo are super sharp. If you wrote that you screen printed this one yourself, I would believe you after seeing this amazing work of art. And I also agree with you about the cover. Carcass really missed the mark there. That's too bad!
