In a world and time when there was no Youtube and no internet,
compilation albums was a great way to find new bands.
They were pretty cheap and the record companies did often throw in a
"preaviously not released" song of some of the bigger bands so that
the collectors bought them too.
And the best Sodom picture ever in the inner sleeve!
