Pentagram- Livin' in a ram's head/ When the screams come 7". High Voltage Records 1979. Inner-sleeve signed by Joe Hasselvander and Richard Kueth; sleeve signed by Bobby Liebling 14-07-2014 at Baroeg/ Rotterdam. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5b-ytcsbuts
this one i bought many years ago... in a recordstore here in the Netherlands..the inner-sleeve was already signed, so no way i can verify if its original....btw, this one originally came in a plain white sleeve; someone in the past made the outer sleeve... so it's really one of a kind item
Cool :) ... seems you guys in the Netherlands have some aweosme record stores. As i know there are only 3 record stores ( that sell Metal related stuff ) within the next 50km I live - that's fantastic :)
oh yes, but unfortunately many have disappeared too...... but in the past there were like 15 recordstores, most of them with secondhand stuff.. that i visited regulary.... man, i spend quite some hours in my life flipping records in some dusty obscure stores hahaha
Haha ... but at least you had 15, nowadays maybe 5 to 10. But in my hometwon there was 1 store that disappeared 22yrs ago haha ... and the next one is 25lm away, than the next 2 are 40km & ~60km ... I don't want to drive that far only to find out that they don't have any stuff I'm looking for ... the only chance -> webstores & egay ... to say it with a song: Sad but true ;)
ah, its the same with me: in my hometown there are no recordstores anymore ( atleast no proper ones)... so i have to travel 25 km as well .... but then there are some good ones, that i can be pretty sure i can spend more money then is good for me haha
Ok, so you're also a vinly-traveller haha ... the record store closest to me has a " Metal area " that is about 2m² big ... yeah :( ... the other stuff is, how to say, not worth mentioning haha
yeah, in the old pre-internet/ ebay days we did a lot of record hunting in the Amsterdam area.... we took an early train, also visiting some stores along the way... that was a 350 km trip... these days sadly things are so expensive
haha...very nice dude..very nice...u get still my respect to carry around ur vinyls every time, my friend :) i mean..i know u know the ppl there and can store the stuff in the back meanwhile etc..but anyway..haha..most of time i would be to lazy anyway i guess :P
yeah, its a pain in the ass to walk around with that stuff... but damn, it's Pentagram... you never know if you get another chance with a guy like Bobby Liebling..... he was totally cool btw... he liked the picture on this sleeve; commenting on this pretty short lived line-up... and i had another single he even doesn't possess... he asked if i would donate that one to him hahaha.... sorry for Bobby, but no way he's gonna get my limited and now signed collectors item hahahaha
yeah haha, pretty cool one..... got it signed after the show.... Bobby was totally exhausted lying on a couch.... when he saw the stack of stuff i was approaching with he was like " Oh my god no...." hahahaha.... but then he was totally cool with it; he especially liked this one... he was telling all kind of things, like one of the guys in this particular line-up ( i forgot which one unfortunately) was a real asshole... a bad alcoholic who beats up his wife and kids......
hahaha I imagine you bringing in this little mountain of stuff to be signed, the price to pay for being a rockstar ;) That's really fucked up about that guy, a lot of shit involved when it comes to Pentagram haha. Yesterday I was trying to find a good pic of the first st record when rediscover Joe Hasselvander's blog, some interesting stories about the early days as Death Row in case you're interested. http://joehasselvander.blogspot.com.co/2008/12/death-row-alive-in-death....
yeah that's probably one of the main reasons why they had such a hard time in the past, everything's also on the Liebling documentary, but well at least now they're regarded as the legends they deserve to be.
