Well at least, when we are talking about the "big Swedish bands" for me. Don't get me wrong, I love LAEFS, LHP and all of those, but Finnish Death Metal just hits darker and harder. Purtenance, Demilich, Rippikoulu, Demigod.... all superior in my ears.
Different thing with second and third row though. God Macabre, Gorement, you name it, are on the same level as Finnish DM. For me.

Well, its all about music taste but all the bands you named plus convulse (my favourite death metal band from Finland), has only one album, awesome album but just one, so as much as i love the Finnish scene, can't be superior than swedish.

Convulse of course, how could I've forgotten them. Also old Sentenced, especially Shadows... are highly underrated.
I don't see the argument, that mass equals quality though. If a scene or band has just one single album, but that one is superior to everything else, it is what it is, I say.
I guess, Finns have specifically mastered the more doomier, gritty type of Death Metal, generally. Not in every single aspect, but as a broader tendency.
