Another very nice collection.
This HIF test pressing should be one of the rarest Judas Iscariot releases out there.
I had thought about getting the Ascension Mounuments releases, but refrained because of the whole dubious story and person behind it.
Thank you my friend
I've found online EAL old designer and he told me that he had couple of original test presses ( this and Warloghe " The First Possesion ) which i just couldn't resist getting them and believe me was not cheap
Ascension monument releases is not something worth mention but i do love the Testpresses they did plus the box with all 4 7"
Overall Judas Iscariot is a fucken Great band !!!!!!!!!!!!
The first EAL releases are cult either way. Then to be able to get a test pressing of it is such a rare opportunity, I would have paid a good sum for it. The HIF and the first Warloghe are definitely among my favorites in BM, I've seen Warloghe live twice in Germany and they were both special concerts. The band visited a German-Finnish friend of mine and we went to the sauna together, haha!
Yes, I can understand if you wanted the Ascension Monument stuff, I was tempted too.
Judas Iscariot are really great, no question!!!
Brilliant !!! Memories for life these are for sure
Met Chuck Schuldiner in Athens Greece in 1998 and I've spent days with him showing him Athens , interviewing him for a fanzine i was participating at the time ( 7th Sign ) and the whole thing was amazing.
Indeed EAL is considered as a cult Label amongst Sombre, Malicious and many others and i didn't hesitate at all when i saw the opportunity I've had in front of me
Of course, it's more than great that you got to know Chuck personally back then. That's really impressive. How were the days you spent with him? How did he like Athens and what did you show him?
He did liked Athens indeed , Parthenon and city centre and a couple of record shops , he's schedule was a bit tight with a bunch of interviews so he had to go back to the hotel .
I've attached a picture from back then
These are really lovely flashbacks to the past, thanks for sharing.
Nice to have seen this photo. I was just starting to listen to metal at the time and now it's been 25 years, haha!
