yes, killer album.... unlike a lot of Shrapnel/ Mike Varney stuff it's not only guitar masturbation.... Chastain writes killer songs !!!!!

I found the first four Chastain LPs at a local store for nearly fifteen dollars, in excellent condition. I even found a second copy of The 7th of Never.

Thanks. The 7th of Never is my personal favorite Chastain album, so getting two copies of that same album was an awesome experience. I paid slightly more for The Voice of the Cult (still in shrink) and Ruler of the Wasteland (on Shrapnel Records). I got Mystery of Illusion for a pretty penny.

I wanted to get the first two albums on CD, but they sound very loud and are on generic digipak packaging. :\

All a matter of preference. :)

I collect lots of tapes, CDs, and vinyl. Some albums are easier to get on one format than another. They all have their ups and downs, so I don't have a definite preference.
