Slipknot Demin Vest v3

Final finished version of this jacket- unless I find better patches to swap out down the line. The overall theme is thrash on the back, nu on the front, and a good mixture of light-hearted fun and (what I consider to be) headbang-inducing heaviness.

I tried using unique or different stitching styles on most patches- this was a lot of fun to experiment and learn with. But a lot of sewing time to put together. (Many patches that have the chaotic and random stitching have normal strong stiching hidden along with it. Except for Overkill, which was the first one done this way, and the stitching seems kind of loose but still holding solid.)

The back patch is custom printed album art from Blind Guardian's favorite graphic artist- unused promotional art that I got from the graphic artist's website. HammerFall's and Testament's are printed type as well. Everything else is embroidered but could be bootleg- I can't tell.

The patches on here bought directly from official sources are Overkill, the black-and-white Machine Head diamond, HammerFall, Iron Maiden, Arrival of Autumn, Flotsam and Jetsam, and Alestorm.

The Drowning Pool patch is actually a keychain tag that I tore the keyring tab off of. I have another good condition one on my keys. The hyena head patch on the chest pocket is art I drew and then got a patch maker to create. It looks a lot better out of bright light. This whole thing looks great in UV and blacklight, too.

The third photo is an example shot of it when I was on my way to go see the Casualties live in Vancouver. The jacket was only missing a couple patches at that time, but that combo of hoodie and vest is usually how I like to wear this one.

Why you censor the machine fucking head hahaha

I thought it would be funny to censor a band's logo with their own name. I also had a lot of Machine Head patches I liked a lot and wanted to use. It's comical, and looks aesthetic to me.
